Our school website is a very important tool for communicating and celebrating the amazing activities that take place at Weald Rise Primary School as well as providing information about the various policies, practices, and procedures in our school.
Weald Rise Primary School is a three-form entry primary school located in a quiet, residential area of Harrow Weald. We are a new Primary School, which was formed from the amalgamation of two separate Infant and Junior Schools in April 2015. Our School is undergoing a complete rebuilding program and we have recently moved into an amazing brand new state-of-the-art building. We are extremely proud of our new school. Our revolutionary teaching spaces are encouraging us to be creative in our approaches to teaching. Currently, there are 576 pupils on the roll.
Weald Rise is a thriving, dynamic, forward-thinking school for children aged three to eleven years of age. At Weald Rise, we actively seek to make a positive difference in every child’s learning journey. We know that teaching is our core purpose and we endeavor to ensure our provision is the very best possible. The talented teaching teams at Weald Rise Primary are our biggest asset – they consist of teachers, teaching assistants, higher level teaching assistants, and subject specialists (PE, French, Science, and Music). Our teaching teams are supported by our Welfare Assistants, our Pastoral team which includes a Learning Mentor and a counselor. The staff teams at Weald Rise work together to provide the guidance, encouragement, and challenge every child needs to progress in their learning and fulfill their potential.
We work with our extended school partners to provide support and guidance to families within our locality. We also regularly lead information sessions for parents who we value as equal partners in their child’s education.
Our governing body is committed and ambitious in its leadership of Weald Rise – the governors offer good challenges and high levels of support to the senior leadership team. We are proud of the professional learning community that is established at Weald Rise. Governors and staff work together to provide our children with the very best learning opportunities. Together we will continue to work hard to make Weald Rise again. We are very proud of our school and hope that you will visit so that you can see it for yourself.

Our children come first and our priority is to deliver high-quality teaching and learning whilst at the same time providing rich and truly enjoyable learning experiences for our community of children. We believe all children can be successful when they are provided with an education that engages and challenges them. So everything we do as a school is to ensure that the children achieve their very best. We want all our children to reach the highest level of personal achievement and development so that when they leave us, they have a love of learning for the rest of their lives.
To this end, all staff and pupils are involved in promoting the values of co-operation, resilience, being ambitious and being respectful so that our school is a happy and safe place to work and learn together. Through our lessons, assemblies, and everyday interactions between staff and pupils we encourage a deeper understanding of these values and their importance to life through our choices and actions.
