The Albany School, a happy and successful community where every student is recognized as an individual and where we aim for all to reach their potential. We believe that every child has a talent and can experience success as they develop into young adults through the supportive and caring environment we provide.
A School is first and foremost a place of learning where students feel safe and enjoy their educational journey. Learning is at the center of everything we do both in and out of the classroom and with so many opportunities at The Albany we feel your child will flourish here with us.
We pride ourselves on our family atmosphere, the fact that students feel safe and cared for, and that, by surveying our pupils, we know that they continue to feel supported. As a parent, you are now faced with the very important decision as to which school is best for your child. While we strive to include in this Prospectus all the information you need, we strongly believe that you cannot find out if this school is right for your child simply from documentation or an Open Evening. There is only one way to fully experience and appreciate what our School has to offer and that is to visit during a normal school day.
The Albany School has traditional values combined with expectations of a 21st Century Education. We promote the concept of an Albany Family and it’s a school where everyone feels safe and welcome.
At The Albany, we believe in strict discipline to ensure that all students are here to learn, whilst enjoying a safe atmosphere where everyone can feel confident and thrive. Students feel proud to belong to The Albany, and they are aware of their responsibilities in maintaining high standards of behavior, treating others with respect, and wearing their uniform with pride.
Students are expected to work hard and to be the best they can be academic. We promote traditional approaches to teaching and ensure that every child is pushed to reach their full potential. Albany is committed to offering a full and challenging curriculum for all students, and to keeping all families involved in their child’s education at every stage.
The Governors at The Albany are supportive as they play an effective role as critical friends. We welcome feedback not only from governors but also from parents and our local community as we actively seek opportunities to build links and develop as a school.
We have recently joined the Partnership Learning Multi Academy Trust, and we have also developed strong links with local schools to ensure that we maintain the highest standards of education, training, and extracurricular provision for all our students.
Albany is a very positive school, and we embrace the ever-changing nature of education in the 21st Century. We work hard as a community to ensure that all our learners leave the school well prepared for adult life, and develop into well-rounded, confident individuals.
