At St Paul’s with St Michael’s, we prepare our diverse intake of students for the challenges of living and learning in the twenty-first century. For a place in Reception to Year 6, all parents must apply via Hackney Learning Trust in the first instance. For a place in our Nursery please complete the online application form or pick up an application form directly from the school. We offer both full and part-time places in our nursery. Children can start nursery at St Paul's with St. Michael's School, the school term after their third birthday. You can apply to the school once they are two and a half by completing an application form (online or from our Nursery directly), and returning it to the school office with official proof of address, dated within three months, and an official birth certificate. Places will be allocated towards the end of the spring term, before your child starting in September. Children start school in September following their fourth birthday. Applications for school places must be made directly to your local authority.
At St Paul’s with St Michael’s, we follow a broad and balanced curriculum in line with the National guidelines. Children are given opportunities to work in groups, individually, and as a whole class or teams of classes.
The parents, guardians, or carers of all children attending this school volunteer to contribute to the fund, although families with two or more children attending this school only pay for two children. Nonpayment in no way affects your child's enrolment in school.
School Governors are people who want to make a positive contribution to children's education. Governors are one of the largest volunteer forces in the country and have an important part to play in raising school standards. The role of the governing body is key to the effectiveness of a school.
Our Learning Support Assistants and Dinner Supervisors play an important part in the life of the school. Should your child feel unwell or be involved in an accident, one of our Assistants will look after him or her and contact you if necessary. We must have a number where we can contact you, or a relative, or a friend during the day. Should you change your phone number or address, please contact us so that we can keep our records up to date. If your child is absent from school due to illness, you must let us know. If your child is suffering from an infectious disease it is imperative. If your child has an attack of diarrhea or sickness we would like you to keep him/her away from school for 48 hours, as ‘bugs’ of this nature are passed on quickly. The is a nurse assigned to the school who will routinely screen children’s sight and hearing. S/he is in school regularly. Appointments with the school doctor are made when necessary and parents are informed so they can accompany their child.
CEOP works with child protection partners across the UK and overseas to identify the main threats to children and coordinates activity against these threats to bring offenders to account. They protect children from harm online and offline.
Hackney is running an advice and support service for those who would like to improve their spoken English skills. This service is aimed at English for Speakers of Other Languages and spaces are available for those who would like to go along. Take a look at the leaflets for further information.

Nonpayment in no way affects your child's enrolment in school. This is a voluntary contribution. The money collected goes to the central fund of the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS). Each church school pays into the fund. This fund enables all church schools to maintain the upkeep of their buildings.
