St Brigid's school is part of the Lumen Christi Multi Academy Company (MAC) with St Joseph's, St James's, St Columba's, St Thomas Aquinas, and St Paul's. As a MAC we are all committed to developing Catholic education in our schools. St Brigid's is a good school with brilliant staff, fantastic children, and supportive parents and governors. We are a happy school with a great team of dedicated staff who are here to ensure your child reaches their full potential.

Our mission statement expresses that 'We educate our children in a Catholic community with Christ at the center.'We strive for excellence in teaching and an enjoyment of learning is at the heart of everything that we do. Our visions and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning and provide an environment that prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens. Aims of our School:

• To promote an environment where all would experience Christian community living, feel personally valued, and be helped to develop and celebrate a personal commitment to Christ and His church.
• To provide a broad, balanced, relevant curriculum enabling each pupil to discover his/her full potential in academic, aesthetic, spiritual, moral, and social dimensions.
• To develop in the children respect and responsibility for themselves, others, and their environment - together with a deep appreciation for and sensitivity to the needs and rights of others.
• To enable pupils to have the competence and the confidence to make a positive contribution to Christian family life - life in the parish and to the wider society.

Our Curriculum is designed through a topic-based approach using Cornerstones resources. Science, Religious Education, Physical Education, and Modern Languages are taught discreetly however, links are made where appropriate. There is an expectation of creativity in our school curriculum. We plan topics that cross different subjects and give our pupils the opportunities to take greater control of their learning to work together and make connections between different subject areas. We want our pupils to see the 'whole picture' and recognize relationships and patterns in their learning and so gain a deeper understanding.
