At St Anthony's we believe that we are all sharing a faith journey as we grow and develop as part of God’s Family. Our school Mission statement is very important to us, it underpins all that we do God is at the heart of our school. St Antony’s provides caring classes helping to create confident, capable, happy learners who have a strong relationship with their community. We encourage all children that through hard work they will achieve their potential making the world a better place. At St Antony's we are striving to respect, accept and forgive.
We believe in a broad and balanced curriculum where each child’s unique talents are both developed and celebrated. We aim to prepare children to be successful learners who enjoy learning. We also help children to gain the essential skills that will prepare them to be happy, healthy, and confident individuals and responsible citizens of the future.
At St Antony's, we believe that we are all sharing a Faith journey as we grow and develop as part of God's Family. Our aims and values are lived out every day in school - in the classrooms, playgrounds, and in all the activities we enjoy. Our children should enjoy their particular stage of development and be prepared for the next stage in their school career. We achieve this by helping our children acquire the knowledge and skills relevant to their lives now and in the future. In a stimulating, positive environment children will be challenged to achieve their full potential.
As a Catholic school, we believe it is vital that our children and their families understand that tolerance of other faiths comes from mutual respect and understanding of beliefs Our RE, PSHE, and SMSC teaching reinforce this. Members of different faiths or religions are encouraged to share their knowledge to enhance learning within classes and the school. Children visit places of worship that are important to different faiths.
The staff and school council have agreed on the values we believe we should see in and around our school. These are special qualities we can share as we grow older and everyone in the school adults and children alike should aim to live out these values. To learn about these values we have assemblies, listen to stories, act out our ideas, use art activities, enjoy circle time and discuss what each of these words means to us.
