At Oakhill, we place great importance on every child being safe, happy, and able to participate in and enjoy the many and varied learning opportunities that we offer. All staff and governors are passionate about sustaining and developing high-quality teaching and learning throughout the school. At the last inspection (October 2013), Ofsted judged the school to be outstanding in all areas. At Oakhill our expectations are high we strive for excellence and aim for each child to have the opportunities to develop their unique potential.

We also want Oakhill children to have happy memories of their time in school and to become enthusiastic, independent, and lifelong learners. We nurture characteristics like curiosity, perseverance, and resilience and we value opportunities for developing the social skills of teamwork, respect for others, and integrity. This will equip Oakhill children to become well-rounded citizens of the future. Our committed and capable governors take an active interest in every aspect of our school's management. The positive contribution of governors and parents is a major factor in our school’s continued success.

We want parents, grandparents, and carers to feel welcome at the school and involved in their child’s education. There are many opportunities for you to take an active part in the life of our school and we positively welcome your help and support. Our PTA (FOSA) is firmly established and has regular meetings to which you are all warmly invited. Finally, our school motto is: “We are a learning first community dedicated to achieving the highest standards of education for all.” Oakhill Primary School is a reflective and supportive learning community where:
