We are a restorative, holistic and dyslexia-friendly school for boys with social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties, set in beautiful surroundings, offering day and residential placements.

Our highly trained, dedicated, and caring staff is committed to providing every young person in our care with the opportunity to reach their full potential through individualized bespoke packages. We have a strong record of success, with our young people moving on to further education, employment, and training.

By the very nature of the school designation behavior and discipline will occupy a fair proportion of time in school. Whilst not condoning any anti-social, disruptive, violent, or aggressive behavior, it must be understood such behavior will form part of our children’s communication. Problems are normal where children are learning and testing boundaries of acceptable behavior.

Each child is a special individual, his unique self. We must strive to make each child believe that they are of worth and have qualities that we value. Children must know that whilst we will not always approve of their behavior, we will always approve of the child. However objectionable the behavior may appear, we must clearly show the child that we are not rejecting him as an individual. We aim to provide a caring and nurturing environment and we work with the children therapeutically, with empathy and understanding. Consistently working with this policy will empower adults to not only behavior accordingly.

We intend to create a caring learning environment by pursuing the following aims:

• To promote good behavior and discipline at all times.
• To promote self-esteem, self-discipline, proper regard for authority, and positive relationships based on mutual respect.
• To promote a positive attitude to learning
• To provide a safe environment free from disruption, violence, bullying, and any form of harassment.
• To have a restorative approach to resolving issues.
• To ensure fairness of treatment for all
• To provide consistent and effective support for staff and pupils
• To ensure that staff, pupils and parents are aware of the expected standards of behavior and work together to uphold them.
