Llangynwyd Primary School is a small community school set in the village of Llangynwyd on the outskirts of Maesteg. We are a very inclusive school and pride ourselves on ensuring that all pupils fulfill their potential and leave with a set of key values that allows them to become well-rounded, thoughtful children. We strive for high standards and pride ourselves on high expectations.
Our School motto “Gweithio Gyda’n Gilydd ~ Working Together” demonstrates our belief that we are all responsible for ensuring the wellbeing and progress of each child. We encourage teamwork, as well as independence, and promote a safe and caring environment. We operate an open-door policy and welcome all parents, carers, families, and people from the local community to become involved in school life and support the children of Llangynwyd Primary.
Our school motto is “Gweithio gyda’n Gilydd” which translates as “Working Together.” We feel that this motto recognizes our belief that through school, home and community, we exist as one: we welcome cooperation and collaboration and we aim to nurture home/school/community partnerships.
Llangynwyd Primary School wholeheartedly advocates a policy of equality of opportunity and aims to ensure that all pupils feel valued. We aim to provide opportunities for all children to develop their social, emotional, intellectual, and aesthetic needs and to engender in pupils, a real sense of inclusion in the school community.
Our mission statement is to encourage the whole school community to work in partnership to fulfill their potential in a very inclusive school. It is our mission to ensure that all pupils leave with a set of key values that allows them to become well-rounded, thoughtful children who add to the community, Wales, and beyond. We strive for high standards and pride ourselves on high expectations.
We endeavor to equip each child with the ability to communicate and share his/her thoughts and ideas and to proceed to the next stage of his/her learning with confidence.
