Welcome to our school website. We aim to inspire, challenge and nurture the individuality of our future generation. We aim to provide an outstanding education for children of all abilities. We actively challenge and encourage our children to reach their full potential - our school motto is “happy to learn, proud to succeed”.

At the heart of our school is a commitment to promote shared values helping us to be responsible, respectful, kind, and caring members of our community. Our Behaviour Code “Good to be Green” supports this.

We have a highly committed team of staff, who work tirelessly to make sure that our children receive excellent care, meeting all their social and emotional health needs. We also strive to ensure each of our children makes as much progress as possible in all areas of the curriculum.

We have a high proportion of children with special educational needs and have bespoke plans in place to ensure their needs are met. We aim to ensure that all pupils make good levels of progress, regardless of their starting point.

This excellent start begins in our Early Years provision and continues through the school with staff providing a happy, supportive, and purposeful environment, and a curriculum that aims to excite and stimulate children’s imaginations and creative thinking. The curriculum is delivered through a cross-curricular approach which is further enhanced by whole-school-themed days and other events to promote inquiry-led learning. Frequent trips and visits, community activities, and an increasing range of after-school clubs further add to the opportunities available to children.

Our vision is for Leesons Primary School to inspire, challenge and nurture the individuality of the next generation. We aim to prepare pupils for all stages of their education as well as equip them with high aspirations for their future lifelong learning.

In partnership with parents/carers, we aim to educate children who:

We aim to be a center for truly excellent teachers, where quality leadership is extended to professionals in other schools and where members of staff are committed to their learning journey and the sharing of quality practice.

The governors and staff of Leesons Primary School fully recognize the responsibilities and duty placed upon them to have arrangements to safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils at the school.

We recognize that all staff, including volunteers, have a full and active part to play in protecting pupils from harm. We believe that our school should provide a caring, positive, safe, and stimulating environment in which pupils can learn and also promote the social, physical and emotional wellbeing of each pupil.

The school recognizes its responsibilities and duties to report Child Protection concerns to the social work service within Children’s Specialist Services and to assist Children’s Specialist Services in Child Protection inquiries and in supporting Children in Need.

The school will raise Child Protection concerns with parents/carers at the earliest appropriate opportunity, and work in partnership with them and other agencies to improve outcomes. The school will ensure that all staff is provided with the appropriate training in Child Protection issues, as recommended in the guidance. In particular, designated members of staff will be released to attend the necessary enhanced training courses to enable them to carry out their role effectively.
