Laleham Lea is a Catholic Independent Primary School situated in Purley, Surrey providing education for boys and girls aged 3 to 11 years. The school aims to provide a broad, balanced, and challenging curriculum within a happy learning environment. The majority of pupils are Catholic, but we warmly welcome children of all faiths who are sympathetic to our ethos.

At Laleham Lea, we firmly believe in putting the child at the center of everything we do. From the warm welcome as you walk through the door in the morning to the playground where all ages play, run and socialize together as one happy family. Bright, light-filled classrooms and enthusiastic, experienced teachers engage your minds’ thirst for knowledge, helping each developing individual to reach their full potential and ultimately move on to the school of their choice.

Our pupils become happy, confident, fulfilled young people through both academic and extracurricular activities. Every child takes part in team sports and every child is involved in school productions and concerts. Our greatest pleasure is to watch a once shy child blossom into the confident soloist, take a leading role in a school assembly or simply help a fellow pupil through a challenging moment.

A high standard of teaching and learning is central to our success. Your son or daughter will be taught in well-equipped classrooms and our teachers hold specialist qualifications and have experience in specific areas of the curriculum such as Science, Modern Languages, Computer Studies (ICT), Art, Music, and Sports.

As a Catholic school, we put our Christian values at the forefront of our daily routine and welcome children of all faiths who are sympathetic to our Catholic ethos. We encourage a high standard of behavior based on values of love, respect, and a positive work ethic. We regularly celebrate Mass together either in our own Long Room or in the calm serenity of the John Fisher School Chapel.

Through our close relationship with other schools in the area, we benefit from the use of the extensive sports field, stage, and Chapel of the neighboring John Fisher School and our children have a weekly swimming lesson at Thomas More School.
