At Kelvindale Primary we have a team of dedicated and talented professionals who work together to achieve our aim of providing a happy, stimulating, secure, and effective learning environment for our pupils. We provide the highest standard of teaching and learning by providing planned learning experiences matched to the needs of all our pupils. We support all our pupils encouraging them to be happy, confident, and achieving their potential. We encourage and motivate our pupils to take responsibility for, and have a positive attitude towards, their learning. We support all our pupils to be:

We enjoy working in partnership with our parents and carers to enhance our happy learning environment. Many activities are organized throughout the school year, allowing you to meet and work with school staff. We hope, like us, you will see our school as an integral part of the community and that you will become involved in activities and events within the school.

We are a warm and welcoming school. We strive to prepare our children for a rapidly changing world by nurturing them to become confident individuals, successful learners, responsible citizens, and effective contributors. In each of our pupils, we aim to instill respect, resilience, diversity, and self-belief by equipping them with a global perspective and the skills and attitudes to reflect this.

The Curriculum for Excellence aims to develop pupils who are confident individuals, effective contributors, successful learners, and responsible citizens. Learning in each curricular area emphasizes the contributions it can make to support the development of the four capacities. Staff continuously evaluate the curriculum we offer to ensure balance, breadth, and challenge to provide an education for all pupils which is appropriate to age, aptitude, and ability. In all subjects, we aim to offer a range of activities suited to the child's interests and needs. We offer all our pupils equal opportunities. Pupils are encouraged to appreciate how learning in school links to real life and their future as active citizens. We aim to assist and encourage our pupils to become lifelong learners.

Our curriculum includes the study of Language (including English and Modern Languages), Mathematics, Health & Wellbeing, Expressive Arts, Religious & Moral Education, Science, Social Studies, and Technologies. We will be looking at each of these curricular areas of study organizing our learning so that we maximize connections between subjects to make learning more meaningful for our pupils.
