We offer a broad, balanced, and personalized curriculum, including opportunities for personal and social growth and development.

The Hornbeam Academy wants to provide the best education, care, and support for pupils and students aged 2-19 years old with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. We believe that all children are entitled to the best quality education, by people that they can trust and who care about them. We have high expectations and we expect all children and young people to achieve the greatest degree of autonomy and independence possible.

To create a strong and reputable family of outstanding schools, which prepare children and young people for the next steps in their life as independent and happy adults. At Hornbeam Academy we have a set of values and core beliefs that are integral to the day-to-day running of our schools.

We provide an exciting, safe, and challenging learning environment that recognizes and adapts to the needs of every individual. Pupils are appropriately cared for, guided, and supported ensuring optimal progress, personal development, and well-being are achieved. We encourage our pupils to be positive contributors to the school, their families, their neighborhood, and the wider community. We promote 'British Values' as part of our School's policies and are working towards being a Rights Respecting Schools, a United Nations award.

At the Hornbeam Academy, all children in the Early Years Foundation Stage and Year 1 follow the EYFS - Development Matters Curriculum. From Year 2 onward our pupils and students follow one of 3 different pathways depending on their needs.
