Glenmead Primary School is a two-form entry school for 4-11-year-olds, with an admission limit of 60 pupils per year. We are very lucky to have an attractive campus surrounding the building, providing playing fields, playground areas, and pleasant educational features such as a pond, trees, hedgerows, flower and shrub beds. Our Early Years outdoor area has been subject to much development over previous years and enables us to make provisions for all the areas of learning outdoors. The school has a security system for all external doors. All gates, except the main gate, are locked during the school day. Parents and visitors may only enter the school through the main entrance on Glenmead Road.

Within the Glenmead community, all individuals are valued and respected in a safe and happy environment. We are an inclusive school where everyone can grow in confidence as they travel on their learning journey. Through developing independence and creative thinking, we strive to achieve the highest standards.

We aim to address the five outcomes of the Every Child Matters Agenda. We, therefore, aim to:

• Developing positive links with parents, carers, and families.

At Glenmead Primary School we believe that the curriculum is underpinned by the need to develop independent, respectful learners, who are good communicators, engage in problem-solving, and can think creatively. Our pupils will be engaged and enthused by an inquiry-driven, skills-based thematic curriculum, which enables all learners to acquire and apply knowledge and understanding through analyzing, evaluating, and synthesizing. Glenmead Primary School is a place of reflection, where classroom practitioners are responsible and adapting and refining materials, methods, and approaches to teaching and learning, and pupils are empowered and plan their learning journey.
