The Academy is at the heart of the Harold Hill community, offering families an excellent education, fantastic opportunities, and facilities that are available to everyone.
We want everyone involved with Drapers' Academy to feel that they are part of something inspirational to be proud of the achievements of individual pupils and our collective successes. Our aim is to be recognized as a center of excellence where learning is fun and high standards are achieved.
Judged as a good school by Ofsted our achievements can be seen through rapid improvements in education. We are also making key strides towards creating an academy that makes a significant difference to the community we serve and that provides opportunities for all our pupils and students.
At Drapers’ Academy, we pride ourselves on our high standards. Pupils are expected to work hard, support their peers, wear full Academy uniform and maintain good records of attendance and punctuality. These high standards combined with the excellent learning environment provide the foundations for pupils and students of the Academy to gain an outstanding education. Our expectations are based upon mutual respect through identifying key rights and accompanying responsibilities.
The strategic goal of Drapers’ Academy is to provide an excellent education that raises its pupils’ aspirations, enhances their academic attainment, and improves their chances of leading a fulfilling life.
Drapers' Academy is, first and foremost, a place of high-quality learning and teaching. From the outset, pupils are encouraged to develop initiative and take responsibility for their learning. All learning takes place within the context of a longer school day, not only including core classes but also providing opportunities for other activities and to access support in areas such as homework. At Drapers’ Academy, we are committed to achieving the highest possible standards of teaching and learning. Our dedicated staff shared a clear vision and ethos, to provide quality teaching and learning that leads to good progress for all.
