Dame Tipping Church of England Primary School is a voluntary controlled primary school catering for boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 11. This primary school is a Church foundation and the Trustees legally own it. It is controlled by the Local Education Authority, which has full financial responsibility for its maintenance. Dame Tipping C.E. Primary School caters to boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 11. It has the capacity for 105 pupils: 15 in each year group.
Our school has a real family feel pupils, staff, governors, and parents know each other well and support one another. Pupils are encouraged to take an active part in school and community life. This enables them to become confident individuals and have a sense of responsibility towards others.
Within our small community, we provide a nurturing, inclusive learning environment. With faith in our hearts, we encourage each unique individual to reach their potential. Our core Christian values are Perseverance, Friendship, Truthfulness, Compassion, Respect, and Forgiveness. These are referred to and understood by all members of the school. They are the basis of our Collective Worship and our Behaviour Policy.
At Dame Tipping C E School we offer an inclusive, broad, and balanced curriculum which is designed to give children the knowledge and skills to prepare them for the next stage in their education. Meaningful links are made across curriculum areas and children are encouraged to follow lines of inquiry that interest them through their topic work.
Religious Education is taught in the school following the agreed syllabus adopted by the London Borough of Havering. The content of the syllabus reflects the fact that the religious traditions in this country are the main Christian. The content is not based on the teachings of any particular denomination. Pupils will be made aware of the teaching and practices of other principal religions.
