Coychurch Primary is a small school where our family ethos creates a sense of belonging, pride in our community, and compassion for everyone in our school family. Our motto is “Only my Best is Good Enough for Me" and it is our aim for all of our children to be successful learners, so they can grow, develop and mature into successful adults.
Whilst we strive for high academic achievement, success at Coychurch is about happiness, making good choices, and feeling proud of yourself. To be successful all children and adults have to overcome setbacks and show resilience. We believe that a successful lifelong learner cares for others around them and can share resources, ideas, and knowledge with enthusiasm.
At Coychurch Primary School, we aim to prepare our pupils to become good citizens of the future. Through our curriculum, we teach pupils about the importance of values and how to celebrate diversity. Our school is proud to be at the heart of the Coychurch community. Our dedicated, highly motivated, and friendly team of staff, governors, and supportive parents care passionately about our school and the children who attend it.
Our school values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning and provide an environment that prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens. Regular attendance and punctuality are important for good progress in school. Where a child is unable to attend school through illness, parents are asked to inform the school by 10 am on the first day of their child’s absence. This is particularly important for KS2 pupils who may make their way to school. Our school has an absence messaging facility, which allows you to leave a message explaining why your child is absent from school. On their return to school please provide a written, dated note to explain the cause of absence.
