At Christ Church, Streatham Church of England Primary School we offer excellent pastoral care to our children, and our creative curriculum coupled with our strong sense of community ensures that we are a happy, forward-thinking, and successful school.
Our mission statement says that “Christian values and high expectations are at the heart of all aspects of our school life”. The staff strives to deliver stimulating, fun, engaging, and challenging daily learning experiences for our children through the National and International Primary Curriculum. Our pupils thrive here and we aim to inspire them to become independent, resilient, lifelong learners, whilst working together in partnership with parents, carers, the Church, and the wider community.
We are very proud of our many achievements at Christ Church. The school has been graded ‘good’ following our most recent OFSTED and ‘Outstanding ‘in the latest SIAMS inspection. In 2017, the school has achieved outstanding outcomes and the learners have made outstanding progress from their starting points. We hold awards including Healthy Schools, a Gold RE Quality Mark, the International School Award, ICT Mark, the Rights Respecting Award, and the school is now a Centre of Excellence for Inclusion. Our school is about so much more than the many achievements that we have earned. The school continues to flourish with a dynamic, energetic, enthusiastic, and creative team of staff.
At Christ Church Streatham Church of England Primary School, we believe that each one of us is of equal importance in the sight of God. We aim to ensure that every child’s special talents are suitably challenged and developed.
We place great emphasis on academic achievement, the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of each child, and we expect high standards of behavior and appearance. We aim to develop independence in both work and judgment. We want every child to be able to work well with others, showing social skills of co-operation and leadership and to be motivated to develop from a wide range of experiences.
At Christ Church, we believe it is vital that children learn to serve God and one another. It is not only what we are taught but how we are taught children learn and grow in understanding as much from our attitudes, our behavior, our caring for each other, and our commitment to God. We must ensure that this is evident in our relationships with each other. We hope all children who come to this school will enjoy their time with us and grow into happy, strong, and lively members of the community.
