We are a thriving Christian school that always aims to provide a caring and happy environment. We believe that by holding fast to our Christian values and traditions, we can provide the best education for every child. We know that if parents and staff work together, we can build a close working relationship that will benefit all of our children. Staff is always happy to discuss any good news, worries, or problems with parents, carers, or children. We have a very successful strategy for working with parents, which is outlined in this prospectus.
We are a very happy school, where children, staff, families, and the Diocese work together to provide an exciting and caring learning environment Together we will value and care for each other, our school, and ourselves. Ofsted states that ‘Pupils are extremely caring, thoughtful and considerate, succeeding in following the school’s values of respect, honesty, forgiveness, and joy. Pupils of all backgrounds, cultures, and faiths work and play together very harmoniously’.
Our school has an innovative, and creative curriculum called ‘The Creative Learning Journey’, which we are a lead school for. People come from all over the country to see what we are doing at Christ Church. We feel very honored.
We always strive to do the best for our children and seek to improve our school every year. We do place great importance on achieving well academically however, we believe that education is more than that. It is about giving children a true love of learning and nurturing independent and creative thinkers.
We believe that a close working relationship with our children’s parents/carers is the key to a successful time in school. Our governors provide strong and valuable work in the school. They provide support and management in all aspects of their role, in overseeing the statutory duties of the school to provide a good education for all pupils thus providing a strong basis for every child’s future and growth in life.
We aim to develop as an outstanding school that welcomes and nurtures each individual's gifts as a unique child of God, in a safe and creative Christian environment, inspiring curious minds. In the last year, we had two exceedingly successful inspections the first being an Ofsted inspection, where the school achieved excellence in all areas of the curriculum and was awarded the highest accolade achievable of ‘outstanding’. We also had a SIAMs church inspection, where the school was praised for its strong Christian ethos, care, and discipline and again excelled in all areas achieving an ‘outstanding’ grade.
