Boldmere Schools have embraced six core values respect, kindness, honesty, co-operation, appreciation, and resilience. We pride ourselves in valuing every individual for who they are and what they contribute to our school community. Values-based education at our school supports the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of every pupil throughout the school.

It is essential for the schools to continuously build upon the great work that is taking place across both schools, whilst retaining the individuality of the provision that is being offered in each setting. Working in such a well-organized collaboration enables us to identify what will benefit the pupils at our schools, which is always the priority of our decision-making processes.

Staff at the Infant and Junior school have been working to develop the Boldmere Curriculum. This encompasses the National Curriculum but is constantly being developed to meet the needs of our children.

After consultation with all staff, parents, and governors, we agreed that there are a set of values, skills, and attitudes that we would like all children to have acquired by the age of eleven when they move to secondary school. We see these as the roots of our curriculum. We want our children:

Special educational provision is that which is additional to or different from the provision made generally for children of their age. It covers a wide range of needs including sensory impairment, physical difficulty, communication, learning, and emotional and behavioral difficulties. A significant number of children may need special educational provision at some time during their school lives.

At Boldmere Junior School, we continually monitor the achievement and attainment of our pupils, however, some children may fall significantly below our expected levels in one or more areas. These children may have special educational needs and will therefore need extra support. This may be due to a learning difficulty or a disability that can affect the progress they make. Children that have a special educational need at Boldmere Junior School are identified and supported according to guidelines specified in the Special Needs Code of Practice.
