Bishop Challoner Catholic College is a highly successful school founded upon Christian principles. Bishop Challoner Catholic College is a nationally recognized leader in the fields of teacher training and development, research, and also in supporting school improvement, through its position as Hub of the Teaching School Alliance. It is also the lead school for the Central Maths Hub and the Central Science Learning Partnership. As well as running sports clubs every day from 7:45 am and every evening after school, Bishop Challoner coordinates sports programs across over 30 primary schools. It is at the heart of the development of programs to support teaching in French, Spanish, and German. We work with the Royal Academy on STEM Programmes. Our English Department is one of the highest achievings in the country. The Arts and Performing Arts Departments are at the forefront of creative initiatives: there is a hardworking and inspirational learning culture in our school. For the staff we appoint- teaching is a passion and a vocation. For our young people, learning is a fulfilling, engaging and aspirational experience, reflected by the fact that we have a vibrant and dynamic Sixth Form.
