The Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics is developing international relations and expanding cooperation with international foundations, associations, organizations, and foreign universities. The University cooperates with academic exchange programs, among which are Fulbright in Ukraine.
University provides supporting of extensive international links with universities and foreign countries for training, retraining, and improvement of professional skills of experts, joint research activities, exchange of students and teachers, preparation of joint projects to participate in competitions for grants. Among the foreign universities, the partners of KhNUE are universities from many countries, including Austria, France, Russia, Belarus, China, Italy, Armenia, Germany, Poland, Canada, the USA, and others.
The history of the Kharkiv National University of Economics is closely connected with the particular institutions of business education, which were founded in Kharkiv.
The teaching staff and curriculum of the Courses initially met the high standards. The professional training of specialists in commerce, local economy, banking, and financial affairs was carried out. For the first time in Russia, commercial training of specialists for industrial enterprises was also carried out there. The first in Russia specialized scientific and research organization was created there.
In FACULTY OF ECONOMY AND LAW, we provide highly skilled teaching staff. Well-developed infrastructure of the educational process provides appropriate quality of the educational, methodological, and scientific process. The curriculum provides an intensive study of law subjects, as it is an essential condition for forming the future highly-skilled economist. Continuous computer training that enables future professionals to navigate the information space is also provided. Active learning forms, such as problem-oriented lectures, situational seminars, role plays, training, individual tasks in practice, are widely used.
A distinctive feature of the education at the faculty of management and marketing is the thorough preparation of students in economics and management, marketing, logistics, production technology, foreign languages, continuous computer training, whereby they become skilled users of software applications, systems of support of management decisions, that are necessary for today's managers of any activity and form of ownership and practical training at leading enterprises of different sectors of the economy, in the Research Centre of Industrial Problems of NAS of Ukraine, at the consulting firms and the regional administration bodies.
Students can receive education in the English language at the specialties of Business Administration and innovation activity management.
Being relatively young and having the glorious traditions of the specialists' high-quality training at the level of world standards, the faculty of INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC RELATIONS gained prestige and public recognition in Ukraine and abroad.
Nowadays, there are more than 1,250 students from Ukraine, CIS countries, and from far-abroad at the Faculty of International Economic Relations. The faculty comprises five departments. The education process is provided by 126 lectures, including – 12 doctors of science, professors, 76 Ph.D., associate professors.
The high-quality educational process is provided by new approaches to the educational process's organization, by the developed infrastructure of the educational process that includes well-equipped classrooms, modern facilities, computer networks, a robust library fund literature, and modern language laboratories for studying foreign languages and technical facilities for education.
At the Faculty of Finance, we use computer-based training and profound study of a foreign language to provide students with professional competence.
Throughout their education, students receive professional training and education in the program "Virtual Bank" that should help them adapt to the future workplace and more effectively demonstrate acquired professional skills.
