Our unique learning environment includes the Lifelong Learning Center established in 2007 and Japan's first Skills Lab. At the Skills Lab, you can use simulators to hone your skills. We also have group study rooms available to fifth and 6th-year students. Our data have confirmed that the use of group study rooms resulted in an increased rate of passing the National Examination for Medical Practitioners, perhaps because their use increased students' motivation.
The School of Medicine also offers the Adviser and Mentor Systems. In the Adviser System, we assign an instructor to each of the students to help deal with school life problems. The Mentor System is available to fifth and 6th-year students. Their professors will continue to provide support through the 2-year initial clinical training after graduation and the 2nd clinical training in this system. We are one of the very few universities in Japan where the school continues to support its graduates.
