The American University of Beirut, one of the oldest higher education institutions in the Middle East, introduced business education in 1900. The Suliman S. Olayan School of Business (OSB) was established as an independent school of business in 2000, named in honor of the late international Saudi businessman and AUB trustee.
Today, OSB is transforming business thinking in the MENA region through its world-class BBA, MBA, Executive MBA, and specialized master's degree programs in human resources management, finance, and business analytics.
OSB has several research hubs and initiatives covering a wide range of research areas, including entrepreneurship, innovation, corporate social responsibility, sustainability data analytics, finance, and corporate governance.
OSB attained its initial AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation in 2009 and was re-accredited in 2014. AACSB is a US-based international accrediting organization considered as the benchmark of quality business education worldwide.

OSB has long been recognized as a leader in business education in Lebanon and throughout the MENA region.
