Ibri College of Technology is one of the Regional Colleges of Technology under the Ministry of Manpower in Oman, alongside Musanna, Nizwa, Ibra, Salalah, Shinas, and the Higher Colleges of Technology in Muscat. Ibri College of Technology is the youngest among the other seven Colleges of Technology in Oman, with its current population of 3,206 students studying in various programs. The College accepted its first intake in September of 2007 with 347 students, all in the foundation program.
The programs offered in Colleges of Technology is of the same academic standards approved and monitored by experienced educators in the Higher College of Technology (HCT) in Muscat to ensure that students need in the industry and globally is sustained. The College has four academic departments: English Language Center, Engineering, Information Technology (IT), and Business Studies.
Our vision is to be a leading technological institution, providing high-quality teaching and learning to prepare and empower future Omani professionals to contribute to national socio-economic development.
Our mission is to deliver high-quality student-centered education that produces competitive graduates who enter the labor market with confidence, strong technological and personal skills, prepared for a life of contribution and success.
The English Language Centre aims to develop students' linguistic proficiency by promoting active learning and English use through extensive practice in all the language skills needed in various academic situations and the labor market. The English Language Program at ICT is divided into two parts Foundation and Post-Foundation. The Foundation Program consists of four levels Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4. Upon successful completion of the Foundation Program, students continue to their specializations in the Post-Foundation program.
Once in the specialization or the Post-Foundation level, students continue to take courses from the English Language Centre Technical Writing I, Technical Writing II, Technical Communication, and Public Speaking, all required as part of their degrees. There is a plan to start ESP courses in the Post Foundation program soon. There will be English for Engineering, English for Business and English for Information Technology.
The Department of Administration and Financial Affairs is one of the essential College's departments. It has three divisions as Finance, Human Resources, and Administrative affairs. The department strives to provide exemplary services to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and visitors of Ibri College of Technology that are technologically advanced and customer-centered. Staffs in the department are proud to steward the human, physical, and financial resources of Ibri College of Technology to pursue its mission.
The departments of Student Affairs meet the academic and the co-curricular needs of Ibri College of Technology students. We provide services and programs that enrich the students' life, extend and enhance the academic experience, and support personal growth and development. We support Ibri CT students through advising, leadership development, and experiential education. We are dedicated to creating a campus environment that supports your intellectual, personal, and professional development. Whether you reside in Ibri or another location, your engagement in the life of the IbriCT community will determine your success at IbriCT and the quality of your college experience.
The Quality Management process ensures that all the activities at IbriCT are planned, implemented, and assessed effectively and efficiently to meet the national standards. Further, it ensures continuous improvement in all activities of the College. The QMS directs the College in developing Vision, Mission, Goals, and Strategic Plan and in achieving them. It guides the College in developing, reviewing, and implementing policies and procedures and assessing its effectiveness. The college management implements QMS across various departments/centers of the College through the Quality Assurance Unit(QAU).
The main objective of the QAU is to enhance the quality culture at Ibri College of Technology. The unit comprises the chairman, head, and quality officers.
