Samara State Technical University is one of the oldest universities in the Volga region. It has a very long and rich history. SSTU nowadays is the most significant research and educational center in the region. We prepare specialists in the following fields: energy, oil and gas, chemistry and petrochemistry, mechanical engineering, transportation, food production, defense industry, information technology, mechanical and automotive engineering, engineering systems administration and automation, material science and metallurgy, biotechnology, industrial ecology, architecture, civil engineering, and design.

Following the Russian Federation Ministry of Education and Science № 1560 from 30.12.2015 since September 1, 2016, Samara State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering was reorganized by joining the Samara State Technical University as a structural unit - Architecture and Civil Engineering Institute (ACEI).
