IE School of Architecture and Design, an international, private institution, reflects the larger IE institution's goals. These goals include a constant striving for excellence, the belief that diversity and multiple points of view can lead to a greater understanding and create knowledge, an entrepreneurial spirit that allows us to see unexpected opportunities, and the fact that innovation can open up new and exciting ways of thinking, learning and taking action.
The fields of architecture and design are undergoing tremendous changes due to globalization, technology, and the expansion of the discipline from traditional roles to new areas and new working ways. Architecture and design studies can gain much from other disciplines. Our School uses a transdisciplinary approach to see the "big picture." It works collaboratively with our other schools, such as business, human sciences, and technology or law, and receives input from professionals in the field.IE shapes leaders who drive innovation and change in organizations, providing a learning environment where technologies and diversity play a key role in fostering global vision, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a humanistic approach.
IE offers programs in business administration, law, finance, international relations, architecture, big data and technology, communication and media, and human behavior. The organization has delegations in 30 countries and runs programs in Madrid, Segovia, Cape Town, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Providence, Sao Paulo, Singapore, and Shanghai. It has been recognized internationally because it uses online and blended formats to transform the learning experience.
IE's faculty comprises more than 500 professors who teach students from 130 countries, generating knowledge and developing research projects with social impact. IE also has more than 60,000 alumni from 165 countries, professionals with international profiles who serve as ambassadors for IE worldwide. Everything from creating new programs to selecting faculty or defining program courses is based on our main pillars. These pillars make up our DNA.
IE is an international institution. We are citizens of the world. The result is that this year there are students from 128 countries on our campus, we have a faculty made up of more than 500 professors from around the world, our programs are filled with international content, and our students benefit from exchange programs that help boost their career opportunities in a global environment. We immerse our students in a multicultural microcosm to produce business leaders with an international outlook, adapt, and manage companies and organizations anywhere in the world. The directors we produce understand and respect differences, manage diversity, and glean maximum potential from their organizations. IE has delegations in 28 countries and educates its students in Madrid, Segovia, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Providence, Sao Paulo, Singapore, Cape Town, and Shanghai.
