EduCativ
In 1999, INSEAD took a bold step to differentiate itself from other business schools: it opened a campus in Asia. It became the first business school to have two full-fledged campuses with permanent faculty - one in Europe, the other in Asia. As one of the world's leading and largest graduate business schools, INSEAD offers participants a truly global educational experience. With campuses in Europe (France), Asia (Singapore), and the Middle East (Abu Dhabi), and alliances with top institutions, INSEAD's business education and research spans around the globe. Our 145 renowned faculty members from 40 countries inspire more than 1,400 students in our degree and Ph.D. programs. Also, more than 11,000 executives participate in INSEAD's executive education programs each year. The vision in setting up the Asia Campus was for INSEAD to "create a bridge between Asia and the rest of the world." In 2000, the founder of modern Singapore, Lee Kuan Yew, participated in the campus's inauguration. Within a few years, the school acknowledged the pressing need to expand the young campus. In 2005, the second phase of campus development began, and INSEAD expanded its presence in Asia. In 2010-11, with great pride, the school celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Asia Campus. In 2015, INSEAD opened the doors to the S$55 million Leadership Development Centre, a six-story, 10,000 square meter building that addresses the accelerating demand for management and leadership education in Asia. The Centre allows INSEAD to build its world-class faculty to 70 in Singapore and significantly increases the number of students, executives, top scholars, and practitioners on the Asia Campus. The Tanoto Library at Asia Campus supports INSEAD faculty, visiting professors, research staff, and degree participants in their research and curriculum activities. To a limited extent, the library also supports alumni, Executive Education participants, and affiliate researchers in their research activities. Using state-of-the-art library technology and security, it is open 24 hours a day and accessible only with a valid INSEAD badge. The library offers spacious work areas, high-speed network connections, computers, and cloud printing services. The collections, both physical and digital, cover all aspects of business and management and related areas such as economics, politics, behavioral sciences, information technology, sciences, and law. These collections can be browsed through the online catalog. The books may be borrowed using the 24-hour self-borrowing service. A selection of online databases published by the leading business information providers and a comprehensive collection of top business journals are accessible on and off all campuses with a valid INSEAD login. Library help services are available from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm from Mondays to Fridays except on public holidays. The Residences has 133 rooms designed to fit the needs of our Executive Education participants and visiting staff and faculty. The Residences Bar is open from Mondays to Sundays between 5.00 pm - 12.00mn offering a wide selection of drinks and a dinner menu. The Residences' Front Desk is open 24/7 to provide concierge and informational services, catering to personal needs such as taxi/transfers, postal/courier services, and luggage storage facility. Standard and express laundry and dry cleaning services are also available. Singapore offers a wide variety of hotels, from budget hotels to the most expensive ones. These provide full facilities, including furnishing and maid services. These units are like multiroom hotels with kitchens and appliances. Some of the temporary housing options offer corporate, family, and long-term discounts. Some even offer their bus services. There are approximately 30 serviced apartment complexes in Singapore with 3000 units to choose from. After deciding your preferred location and budget needs, contact a real estate agent who will guide you to find an apartment or a house. In Singapore, it is not unusual to use several real estate agents. INstore, the campus store, offers a range of course books, reference books, stationery, INSEAD souvenirs, gifts, greeting cards, confectionery, postage stamps, and international calling cards. Ancillary services available include dry cleaning, outgoing local and overseas mailing, DHL courier, and sale of STARHUB prepaid SIM CARDs. Restaurants, transportation, nightlife, culture, and more! Life at INSEAD is a beautiful new app dedicated to the INSEAD community--enabling all its members to quickly find and rate the information on life around the INSEAD campuses.
