We also recognize that not every student wants to go to university. So we provide them with a range of alternative pathways where they can excel in learning to use their God-given gifts and talents not just to have an abundant life but actively serve their families and communities as well.

We have one of Australia's leading preeminent boarding programs at the College, catering to remote indigenous students. Groups of ten students live in the suburbs across Darwin in family group homes. This program continues to produce outstanding results helping students through their secondary years, even though they are a long way from home.

Our genuine commitment to being a Christian educational community means that all our staff is active Christians who believe that God made each child unique and purposeful. We see our role in students' education as assisting parents in helping their children discover their gifts, develop them, and consider how they may be used to serve others.

We do not just fill students up with education, but help the students discover their God-given potential and develop their character to make a positive contribution to society now and after they have finished school by implementing a comprehensive biblically-based curriculum and experiences.

Marrara Christian College seeks to provide the highest quality education from a Biblical perspective to be educated within a Christian worldview. Education includes but is not isolated to just academics. Education involves developing the whole child – physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and cognitive. Therefore, learning to be useful for the whole child, connected learning in telling a story is critical.

NT Christian Schools primary teachers have worked together to create connections across the curriculum to stimulate engagement and rich learning in the context of the story. The connected units cover curriculum from endorsed learning areas from the Australian curriculum. Some of the related unit titles are – 'Made by God,' 'We are family,' 'Life in the pond,' 'Journeys,' 'Why is it so?', 'The great race,' and 'Light of the world.' These connected units are taught in all NT Christian Schools primary schools, which promote sharing of resources, activities, moderation of learning, and knowledge. It has been an excellent opportunity to be part of our wider family in the Territory.
