Clear vision and perception of the right direction are the foremost factors that point to a path, ultimately leading to the destination. Being Muslims, we believe that the treasure of knowledge and wisdom shall always belong to us unless we ignore our brilliant past and least bother to recall who we are. It owes to Muslims' scarce awareness about themselves that since the last few centuries, Bu Ali Sina, Jabir Bin Hayyan, Ibn-ul-Haitham, Umar Khayyam, Al-Khwarizmi are seldom born in this unfortunate Ummah. It is startling that whatever branches of science exist today are based on research initially carried out by the same elite group of Muslim scientists. Common wisdom holds curiosity as to how they achieved such remarkable success. The only answer is: "They were loyal to Allah Almighty, and used Al Qur'an as the basic frame of reference for their research and studies. It is said that later generations kept themselves away from the areas explored by our ancestors. In contrast, the western intellect took charge of the heritage given up by Muslims, making it a base for further development that eventually leads them to the throne of dominance.
During the post-renaissance era in Europe, Muslims were deliberately distracted from the course they always followed. Isolating Islam from contemporary Education led the Western World to success and simultaneously directed the Muslims to a state of affairs that eventually led to catastrophe. Resultantly, we Muslims, the past leaders, are nothing more than followers of today, trapped into whirlpools of false hopes.
Without bothering to determine the correct answer to a simple question, "How" the majority of us are over-ambitious to accomplish their 'Mission' by exotically blending religion with modern Education. The programs which are seemingly inspirational for the time being, give further rise to an already widening gulf of difference between assumptions and the logical conclusions extracted from detailed research, which can be applied and sustained systematically in educational setups.
Criticism or regrets can never change the past. What is gone away for good? It has become inevitable to launch a diverse educational system reinforced by Islamic values and is compatible with the needs of the current era, coupled with the potentials to resolve emerging challenges of the future. It should also serve as a platform for research and development under the umbrella of the Qur'an and Sunnah.
Alhamd Islamic University was conceived by Alhamd Educational System (AES), which was established in the year 1995 with the vision of Promoting Education in all the Sectors of Education. AES is already operating several educational institutions, research & development organizations like the Balochistan Institute of Technology, BIT Girls College, Dar-e-Arqam School of Islam, and Modern Sciences, Dar-e-Arqam Girls College, and Quran Research Academy.
We are incredibly grateful to Almighty Allah - The most proficient and the most merciful, who chose us for the noble cause to establish Alhamd Islamic University. Al-Hamdulillah it was formally chartered by the Government of Balochistan under the Act II of 2005. This University is a degree awarding authority in the faculties of Islam, Science, Technology, Education, Law, Arts, and Engineering.
Alhamd Islamic University has a vital role in the development of skilled professionals in the fields of Islam, Science, Arts, Engineering, and Technology. It provides a caring and conducive environment to inculcate a positive attitude, progressive approach, and leadership qualities. Our mission is to provide competency-based knowledge and quality education under the shade of Islam to prepare individuals to have evident Islamic faith so that they could be spiritually strong enough to compete with the challenges of the modern era to defend the Islamic norms and ideology. We desire to make Islamic thoughts the essential and active element of Pakistan's future leaders and the Islamic world. To produce In-shaa Allah pious Muslims for today and tomorrow, for success here and hereafter Ameen.
Education should cater to man's growth in all aspects: spiritual, intellectual, imaginative, physical, scientific, linguistic, both individually and collectively, and motivate these aspects towards goodness and attainment of perfection. The ultimate aim is to realize an individual's complete harmony with the will of Allah at the personal, communal, and human level.
By precept and example, Education should instill piety and encourage self-purification and self-discipline as a means of penetrating the mysteries of the universe and opening the heart to the fear and love of Allah.
Education should promote in man the creative impulse to rule himself and the universe as a faithful servant of Allah, not by opposing and indulging in conflict with nature but by understanding its laws and harness its forces for the growth of a personality that is in harmony with it.
