For more than 25 years, UW Bothell has fulfilled its mandate to provide access and opportunity to students from north King and Snohomish counties and across Washington.

UW Bothell holds the student-faculty relationship to be paramount. We provide access to excellence in higher education through innovative and creative curricula, interdisciplinary teaching and research, and a dynamic community of multicultural learning.

    • Foster productive relationships with the employment community and promote a robust public service commitment.

The University of Washington Bothell is committed to achieving this mission. It promotes the on-going review of our outcomes, organizational structures, and processes that support this mission and these goals.

The University of Washington Bothell will be a transformational learning community. We will catalyze to enhance the quality of life throughout our region. Our culture of learning, committed to disciplined inquiry and responsible service, will be woven into our organizational and operational life. Our success will attract a highly motivated and diverse student population and a faculty and staff of exceptional ability and dedication.

Meeting the costs of an undergraduate and graduate education is a significant investment for many families. It requires planning, careful decision making, and a commitment from both you and your family. We believe students from all economic backgrounds should have the opportunity to attend the University of Washington Bothell and that finances should not be a barrier.

Whether you are setting out on a course of academic study that will define your professional life or seeking to build skills to help you pursue your passion, the University of Washington Bothell’s graduate programs offer a range of options to match your needs. UW Bothell offers graduate degrees in business, education, nursing, policy, and engineering in collaboration with the nationally recognized University of Washington Graduate School. Many of our graduate students work while pursuing their degrees, so we offer part- and full-time programs and certificate, license, and non-degree options.

UW Bothell classes are small, so that you will work closely with professors. Our faculty will connect you to cutting-edge research opportunities and help you navigate Puget Sound’s local and global networks of professionals, many of whom want to hire from our pool of experienced graduates.

Spending a part of your university experience abroad will expand your understanding of the world and help you develop global skills – adaptability, intercultural communication, learning on the fly, etc. – that are in high demand by employers and graduate programs. For many students, studying abroad is a transformational experience.

Studying abroad does not have to break your budget. With planning, financial aid, and scholarships, most students can afford to incorporate an international experience into their university education. As you begin your search for funding to pay for your education, keep in mind that many resources provide information about scholarships and other academic awards. Each student must research the scholarships available and find those that best match their skills, experience, interests, and goals.

Work-Study is a need-based financial aid program that allows students to work part-time while going to school. Work-Study students can, therefore, find jobs and may be able to keep their loan debt down by earning part of their aid eligibility rather than borrowing more loans.

Founded in 1990, the University of Washington Bothell was created to bring the world-renowned University of Washington traditions of academic excellence to the growing Puget Sound region residents. While we primarily serve citizens in North King and Snohomish counties, our student body is composed of a dynamic and diverse group of students from around the state, the nation, and the world.

The campus shared with Cascadia College -- sits atop a 128-acre plot of picturesque land overlooking protected wetlands and the Cascades beyond. Once home to the 500-acre, purebred cattle Boone-Truly Ranch, the property was sold in 1995 to Washington.
