Trevecca Nazarene University has been home to thousands of students and has led the way in higher education. Trevecca Nazarene University is a Christian community providing education for leadership and service.
Earn a highly esteemed degree in a Christ-based community, committed to your success. At Trevecca, you will reach your education goals while also deepening your faith and worldview. Our bodies of non-denominational faculty and staff allow students to understand the perspectives of others while also growing themselves.
We believe that faith should be at the center of all things. As a university, we come together multiple times a week to worship, learn, praise, and grow in the chapel. This time allows our students, staff, and faculty to come together in fellowship to deepen their relationship with Christ and each other. Our students are also encouraged to serve – whether through one of our annual service projects, through various student-led ministries, or within the chapel.
Trevecca Nazarene University faculty and students are involved in several research projects. Some research reflects faculty and students' professional research interests, and some research is related to class or program requirements. All research conducted by Trevecca faculty and students, and all research conducted at Trevecca by outside groups, must be approved by Trevecca's Institutional Review Board—responsible for ensuring compliance with established federal and university procedural and ethical guidelines for research.
The university provides a variety of face to face and distance education nontraditional and continuing education professional programs at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels. Traditional undergraduate curricular programs focus on the liberal arts and sciences as reflected in the core curriculum and emphasize several professional content areas. While the primary focus of Trevecca faculty is to teach, faculty members are encouraged as reflective practitioners to conduct action research that contributes to the practical wisdom of applied knowledge and enhances the learning experience. All programs strive to prepare students for positions of leadership and service in their chosen careers by clarifying their life calling, developing their intellectual abilities and engaging them in research, service learning, internships, and/or other opportunities that will allow them to demonstrate the practical application of their knowledge and skills.
