Welcoming people of all faiths, Presentation College challenges learners toward academic excellence and, in the Catholic tradition, the whole person's development.
Presentation College provides its students with engaging courses of study and relevant career skills rooted in a tradition of academic excellence and community service that reaches back to the College's founders, the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Our mission dedicates us to educating the whole person — academically, spiritually, and personally — so that our students can think critically and act conscientiously in the more fantastic world upon graduation. Presentation graduates are known for being principled, reflective, and creative learners who care about others' welfare.
We offer a wide range of experiential opportunities designed to deepen student learning, broaden perspectives, and provide valuable, real-world experience. Getting and staying involved while in College can be one of the best choices you make as a student. Being involved encourages and advances your development on all levels: intellectual, cultural, spiritual, and social. Meet people, make friends with similar interests, feel more connected to the College, and gain skills necessary for success during and after College. Presentation College proudly offers various student activities that strengthen the body, mind, and spirit, including campus clubs and organizations, intramural programs, student athletic and recreational activities, and other student activities.
The typical Presentation student only pays $14,500 in general tuition after financial aid is applied, making PC one of the most affordable private College's in the region.
Founded in 1951 in Aberdeen, South Dakota, Presentation College has a professions focus in the undergraduate programs, including arts & sciences, nursing, business, social & behavioral sciences, and allied health. Using knowledge to improve lives and make our communities a better place is the very heart of what we do at Presentation College. Here, service-learning is not an add-on or an afterthought. It is the very foundation of who we are and what our education stands for. Because, quite simply, that is what the world needs.
Our deep Catholic roots guide us in the way we approach learning and living. A core mission of our founders is a sincere commitment to social justice and human dignity. That commitment is brought to life every day through our efforts to help individuals, families, and communities in need. In order to fulfill graduation requirements, students complete at least two service-learning projects. You will have the flexibility to choose from a broad range of service-learning programs and opportunities, and you will enhance the experience through reflections and journaling.
From building homes through Habitat for Humanity, to "Shop with the Saints" for families in need, to packing lunches at the local food bank, to hosting community meals and health clinics, to countless other service activities, there is no limit to our enthusiasm for service. That is why 97 percent of students say they are satisfied with service learning at Presentation.
