For more than 115 years, nonprofit Golden Gate University (GGU) has helped adults achieve their professional goals by providing undergraduate and graduate education in Accounting, Law, Taxation, Business, and related areas.
GGU is California's fourth oldest private University, enrolling 5,000 students and representing more than 68,000 alumni. The University's main campus is located in San Francisco with additional teaching sites in Seattle and Silicon Valley. In addition to evening and weekend classes, most courses and degrees are offered entirely online.

Most of our tutors have a master's degree in their field, and many of them are instructors here at GGU, so they understand what it takes for students to succeed in their classwork and careers.
Three weeks into your first semester, you will be paired with a student services advisor who will work with you to develop a study plan. Your advisor will act as a liaison between your and your instructors, career counselors, and financial planners. Your advisor will help you select appropriate courses, answer questions about career planning, and provide specific academic advising.
Student Life at Golden Gate University is defined by three features: information, involvement, and networking. Whether full time or part-time student, online or on campus, every student is encouraged to stay connected and stay informed about GGU. We offer several different resources that our students can use to keep up with all the news and changes taking place with GGU.
There are a variety of networks in place for students to stay connected. Student Government involves students in university policies, goals, and objectives. Student organizations allow students to learn valuable skills and network with their peers here at the University. The student newsletter connects current students with faculty, alumni, and each other, allowing each a chance to keep up with classes, job openings, and any news from the administration.

Golden Gate University has two libraries: the Business Library, which serves the entire GGU community, and the Law Library, which primarily serves the students, staff, and faculty at the School of Law. Both libraries are located at our San Francisco Campus, and San Francisco-based students can take advantage of classes and workshops held by librarians' knowledgeable and helpful staff.
Golden Gate University's eLearning offers a virtual classroom experience that combines academic rigor with flexibility. Courses are composed of highly-practical educational content taught by working professionals in their fields. All courses are web-based, and coursework can be completed anytime, anywhere, so you can work at your convenience.
eLearning now serves approximately over 5,000 fully online students, 1,100 mixed-mode students, and 4,200 web-enhanced students annually. Over the last ten years, Golden Gate University has been at the forefront of online education. To this day, we continue to innovate, offering online courses, student communities, service tools, and demonstration courses.
