Everglades University is an accredited, private, not-for-profit university offering bachelor's and master's degree programs. We offer undergraduate degrees in Alternative and Renewable Energy Management, Environmental Policy and Management, Construction Management, Land and Energy Management, Surveying Management for Construction and Roadway, International Business, Alternative Medicine, Aviation/Aerospace, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, and Crisis & Disaster Management. Also, we offer graduate degrees in Public Health Administration, Business Administration, Aviation Science, and Entrepreneurship.

The mission of Everglades University is to provide quality education to adult learners of diverse backgrounds in a collaborative environment where each individual has the opportunity to achieve personal growth. The University seeks to accomplish its mission by combining small class sizes and innovative programs with traditional academic values. Through research, scholarly contribution, and service, the University supports the academic endeavor to deliver graduate and undergraduate programs both on-campus and online.
While the student is ultimately responsible for planning his/her academic success, the University assigns each student an Academic Advisor. Students are encouraged to meet with their advisor every semester. Courses required to complete the degree, CUM GPA, attendance, and progress reports will be discussed. Academic Advisors are available to meet with their students in person, via phone, or by email. Scheduling an appointment in advance is recommended.
The student orientation program is designed to facilitate college transition and familiarize new students with the University's organization, staff, and operation. Students are introduced to the University's mission and traditions during the orientation, rules and regulations, study techniques, and academic standards.
Accordingly, all new and transfer students are encouraged to attend the orientation. Online students are encouraged to schedule a telephone orientation before starting. It is the policy of Everglades University to assist students in finding a career upon graduation. Before and after graduation, the administration will advise the student in career development skills and find employment in their chosen career fields. This service is available to both online and on-campus students.
The Financial Services Department at Everglades University provides students with assistance in applying for financial aid to pay tuition for their educational expenses while attending the University. The Financial Services Department has established procedures that assure fair and consistent treatment of all applicants. Everglades University believes that the primary responsibility for educational costs rests with the student and his/her family.
However, financial aid is available to meet the difference between a personal student's resources and his/her actual needs. Everglades University examines the total cost associated with attending the University, including, but not limited to, tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, personal and allowable travel expenses, and other miscellaneous expenses.
Everglades University maintains a full-time Financial Services Department at each campus to meet student needs. Students are encouraged to make appointments with a Financial Services Administrator to ensure that they obtain the funding needed for their University investment. The United States Department of Education has determined that Everglades University is an institution eligible to participate in Federal Title IV financial aid programs.
The Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Aviation/Aerospace combines a specific aviation/aerospace industry component with a general education component and can include an Area of Concentration. Specific Concentrations include Management, Airport Operations Management, Aviation Safety, Flight Operations, Aviation Maintenance Management, and Aviation Security.
The Master's Degree in Aviation Science provides a unique learning experience for aviation industry professionals. By combining various aviation and aerospace courses, the program will enable graduates to broaden their knowledge of the aviation industry and understand relevant theories and principles of aerospace and their application to real-world situations in the aviation industry. Graduates will be skilled in advanced research and formal writing techniques and will become more versatile within the aviation industry.
At Everglades University, online students have access to several levels of student support. Online trainers and a help desk are ready to help with technology issues during regular business hours. Instructors and administrators are available by phone or email to answer questions and guide you. Free online tutoring is available through Smarthinking, an online academic tutoring service for all subject areas, as well as writing. The online library, available 24/7, provides access to a unique collection of electronic books, journals, and academic databases.
