Swindon College offers the most comprehensive range of full-time courses in the area, with a mix of learning and training preparing students for employment and university study. We also offer excellent success and progression rates.
Our industry-standard facilities – including engineering, construction, hospitality and catering, hairdressing, beauty and art, and design – make us the first choice for those considering vocational (work-related) courses in the region.
Our new purpose-built construction center also provides excellent facilities for our brickwork and plastering students on our main campus at North Star.
At Swindon College, we put students first. We are large enough to offer a full range of courses and facilities but small enough to care about individuals. All students have the benefits of a personal tutor and a team of highly-experienced professional teaching staff.
We offer a range of courses at different levels. Many of our students enter further education programs, achieve and then progress on to full-time higher education courses at the college or universities around the country. Swindon College offers university-level courses at HNC/D, Foundation Degree, and BA (Hons) Degree.

A College Governing Body approximates a board of directors in a business enterprise, rather than the local government/community tradition of members representing particular sectional interest. The Board's thrust is outward-looking and primarily future-orientated, informing strategies and providing accountability for the college's past activities.
External members of the Board consider themselves to be 'non-executive directors' of the college. Considerable freedom and discretion are given to the Principal for operational management. Corporate policies are approved by the Board, with the following procedures and plans being the responsibility of college management to agree and implement.
