Uman State Pedagogical University

We try to be the centre of education, science and culture in Buho-Dniprovskyi region, though the institution's geography is much wider because the students from 20 Ukrainian regions study here. Our graduates are highly qualified specialists in almost all school specialities. It is our university pride and Ukraine's future.

The University encompasses the educational and scientific-industrial complex that includes Korsun - Shevchenko Pedagogical College, Uman Humanitarian Pedagogical College, Uman city Gymnasium named after Ivan Franko, Shevchenko Specialized Boarding School and Vocational School № 36 in Uman. A Pedagogical Lyceum offering education in Foreign Philology, Ukrainian Philology, Nature and Geography, Technologies and Pedagogy was also established.
There are a business incubator and legal clinic to create a favourable environment for the implementation of business ideas and business projects, commercialization of research. According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine "On additional measures for celebrating the 200th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko" a new structural unit of the University was founded in 2013 - Kaniv Institute of Humanities (Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine as of June 12, 2013).
The University's social and cultural structure boasts a student club, sports club, and museum of its history. The "Pedagogical news" newspaper is issued, and there is a literary studio named after Mykola Bazhan and the student theatre. Nine artistic, creative teams were awarded the honorary title of "People." The students have the opportunity to improve their sports skills in athletic, basketball, volleyball, football, table tennis and rhythmic gymnastics clubs. They are often the winners of regional, interuniversity and international competitions; there are the members of the youth team of Ukraine among them.
The University offers a wide variety of courses of the first (Bachelor-s program) and second (Specialist and Master'  's programs) cycle. Uman Pedagogical University also provides post-graduate courses for Candidate-s degree and Doctors degree.
