In collaboration with IE and South Summit, Law School's Global League and Ontier have recently launched the Global Legaltech Venture Days. This startup competition focuses on standard technologies that positively impact significant challenges faced by legal operators or legal systems to improve their operations and promote the cause of justice.
This legal tech startup competition consists of three regionals that lead to a final competition. The first Legaltech Venture Day in Singapore, where the Malaysian startup EasyLaw, committed to making law efficient, affordable, and simple, was crowned. The following Legaltech Venture Days will occur in Chicago on June 15 in collaboration with Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, and in México on June 20, in collaboration with ITAM.
In each regional event, a group of selected Legaltech startups will pitch 7-minute presentations before a panel of judges, innovators, legal tech experts, and leading law firm partners who will ask questions and analyze their viability. From this initial and regional cohort, the judges will choose a winner to enter a second and final round, which will occur in Madrid during the Law Schools Global League Annual Conference on July 25. The three regional winners will be invited to Madrid, all expenses paid, to compete at the Global Legaltech Venture Day final on July 25.
