St. Joseph's College of Quezon City is a Catholic and private school administered by the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception[disambiguation needed]. It is a national top college prep school, offers students in preschool-grade 12, and up to college level offering a high-quality and well-rounded education. Admissions are very competitive, and students admitted must pass a rigorous entrance examination. All students must maintain the highest academic and disciplinary standards. To date, SJCQC continues to hold these standards, focusing on academics, interpersonal discipline, and a commitment to social responsibility.
St. Joseph's College was founded by the first five Dutch Franciscan nuns who, in 1929, came to Manila from Veghel in the Netherlands. First, it was an exclusive school for girls, then later became a coeducational institution.
