With the increase in the demand of human resource intellectuals and professionals, Baluchistan was in dire need of a new institution for bringing educated men power. Thus, the establishment of the University of Loralai was proposed to serve the impoverished province of Baluchistan in social and economic domains of life.
The result of the study conducted by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) supported the requirement of a University for Zoab Division at district Loralai named “University of Loralai”. For this purpose 500 acres of land at (Zarr Karerz) has been provided by Provincial Government, allocated 12 Km away from the Loralai City at Quetta Road.
The University of Loralai started working with the departments of Management Sciences, Computer Science and Commerce. Later on, in the 2014 University of Loralai started the Education department and announced the admissions to M.Ed classes. Gradually, other departments (Sociology, Social Work, Mathematics and English) will start soon. UoL is the third general university in Baluchistan and the first one in the Zhob Division.
The University of Loralai will serve as the center of quality education and is keen to develop competence in communications by critical thinking, dissemination of science and technology knowledge at the national and international level.
