Ibra College of Technology is one of the established technical Colleges in the Sultanate of Oman that is being governed by the Ministry of Manpower since 2001. The idea to improve College of Technology to Higher College of Technology is through the Academic committee who worked and developed a new B. Tech program, which was first offered in the 2003-2004 Academic Year.
Both technological and general education are essential parts of the Ibra College Technological curriculum, enabling students to successfully develop the self-awareness and social responsibility necessary to compete in their chosen occupational fields. The programs offered by the Ibra College of Technology are directed towards serving the needs of all individuals within the community, as well as the needs of the community as a whole.

Our mission is to deliver high-quality student-centered education that produces competitive graduates who enter the labor market with confidence, strong technological and personal skills, prepared for a life of contribution and success.
The Office of the Student Affairs provides all the students' support services as new intakes up to graduation. The Office of the Admin and Financial Affairs is responsible for supervising the provision of college needs for human resources, administrative requirements, educational and training materials, and equipment, following centers and departments' requirements.
The Department has made rapid strides during the last years in all spheres of education and research. However, our size still allows close interaction between faculty and students at all levels.
We provide a very informal atmosphere between faculty and students. Faculty members of our Department are not only engaged in cutting edge technology research but are also very passionate about teaching. We pride in having persons with an excellent academic background as our faculty colleagues. The Department runs five undergraduate programs, namely Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, and Architecture. The Department is planning to run the Quantity Survey Engineering specialization.

The courses are carefully designed to transform the students into well-qualified candidates who can quickly be hired and contribute to the Nation's public and private sectors. The teachers from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds are an added advantage to realize this dream effortlessly. Besides, we have opened more labs recently, intending to accommodate more students in the foundation, which supply the labor market's need.
