Ishikawa Prefectural University is still a relatively young university nine years since its establishment. Nevertheless, it has already been making considerable achievements on both the educational and research fronts. This is also evident in the university website, which has become even further improved this academic year following its redesign in November last year. Ishikawa Prefectural University consists of a single faculty known as the Faculty of Bioresources and Environmental Sciences. We are conducting education and research to develop applied technology and explore the principle of putting bioresources to use while seeking harmony between people and the environment. The three departments that the faculty is comprised of - Bioproduction Science, Environmental Science, and Food Science - are all grounded in bioscience, biotechnology, or agriculture and enable academic research and student education to be undertaken.
Education and research conducted in our Graduate School further enhance the quest for truth in such disciplines and their subsequent practical application, cultivating people capable of contributing to the welfare of humanity. At Ishikawa Prefectural University, we do not merely inherit conventional knowledge but conduct advanced and specialized education and research.
