Gakushuin University, all undergraduate and graduate schools, are located at our Mejiro Campus. This makes it simple for students to attend lectures at their faculty or department and lectures at other faculties and departments. Courses for Sports and Health Science utilize a sports ground, gymnasium, and other Mejiro Campus facilities. Each member of Gakushuin University is a part of the same Mejiro no Mori "knowledge" community.
Gakushuin University's students study at the university's green and leafy campus at Mejiro, which has five faculties with 17 departments. The small-group classes at Gakushuin University and the entire university's enclosure within a single campus ensure that students and professors remain in close contact with each other, further enhancing students' learning environment.
Our Mejiro, no Mori "knowledge" community, has a broad and diverse base of education and research. Along with our undergraduate and graduate schools' educational and research programs, we also run some content-rich extracurricular programs. Both long-term and short-term studying abroad and overseas training options are available. And we offer internships and volunteer activities. There are group activities and club activities too. Combining these different programs enables students to create their own uniquely individual campus life.
Gakushuin University puts much effort into career guidance. With our graduates' collaboration, we provide active support to help current students gain employment in their desired occupation to utilize their university studies in society.

Gakushuin University has conducted its inspections and evaluations on the state of its various education and research activities in order to raise its educational and research standards and accomplish its goals and social mission.
A revision of the School Education Act covering university inspections and evaluations made it obligatory for universities to undergo an audit by a certified evaluation and accreditation organization at least once every seven years, in addition to the existing obligation to conduct self-inspections and self-evaluations.
At Gakushuin University, we review and implement measures to improve and strengthen education levels, such as class evaluation surveys by students. We are also advancing our efforts toward self-inspection and self-evaluation of our education, research, and various other social contribution activities. Gakushuin University is also a full member of the Japan University Accreditation Association, or JUAA, and is committed to regular evaluations by government-certified evaluation organizations, including JUAA.
