Roma Tre University is a university thought for young people. Founded in 1992, it has rapidly grown in terms of enrollment and the number of academic courses offered. It has gained an excellent reputation in the most prominent academic rankings, especially among the most recently founded institutions.
Roma Tre University is organized in 12 departments offering Bachelor's and Master's degrees, Postgraduate and Advanced courses, PhDs, and Specialisation Schools.

Roma Tre University considers sustainability one of its fundamental values. According to the GreenMetric World Universities Ranking 2016, Roma Tre University currently represents the only "green" University in Rome and Lazio.
Our Academic Departments are Architecture, Economics, Education Science, Engineering, Humanities, Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures, Law, Mathematics and Physics, Philosophy, Communication, and Performing Arts, Political Science, and Science.
Roma Tre University establishes its central role in research to develop knowledge and the achievement of particular interest goals from a scientific, cultural, social, and economic viewpoint.
Roma Tre encourages and supports basic research in scientific disciplinary areas, enhancing its original and innovative contents. Moreover, Roma Tre promotes applied research focused on developing and transferring new technologies, always respecting the goals and the responsibilities connected to its nature as a public institution working for the common good.
Despite its young age, Roma Tre has a consolidated position within the national and international research scenario. To list some examples, Roma Tre has received the approval of highly competitive tenders for 568 Projects of Significant National Interest by Miur. For 148 of them, it was given the role of coordinator. In the last years, it has been awarded financing for 14 projects reserved for young researchers only. In the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Community, which has just been closed, 47 projects were approved, 13 of which with the coordinator's role.
