Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) is a private university in the Bintaro area established in 2011 and supported by the Jaya Development business group. The business group of Pembangunan Jaya has 17 businesses engaged in property, manufacturing, management consultant, design consultant, contractor, tourism/recreation, trading, mechanical & electrical, and education. The Jaya Development Group has more than 50 years of experience in managing the business sector. It is committed to dedicating a portion of its parent business activities to education in building Indonesia's higher quality human resources. This intention has been realized by establishing Yayasan Pendidikan Jaya since September 3, 1991. Yayasan Pendidikan Jaya has overshadowed the education of kindergarten, elementary, and junior high school, namely TK / SD / SMP / SMA Sekolah Pembangunan Jaya I in Bintaro since 1992, TK / SD / SMP / SMA Global Jaya 1995, and kindergarten and elementary school of Development Jaya II in Surabaya since 2006. Departing from success in the management of primary and secondary education for more than ten years, Yayasan Pendidikan Jaya took the initiative to form an institution of higher education named Pembangunan Jaya University.
