As part of the Muhammadiyah business charity, UMRI also developed a curriculum based on Islamic keMuhammadiyahan.
To ensure the quality of education and teaching and learning process, Muhammadiyah University of Riau continues to develop quality both institutes and study programs. Currently, institutionally the University of Muhammadiyah Riau has accredited "B," and 13 of 22 Study Programs in MRI have also been accredited "B." This proves that UMRI always strives to provide the best quality education for its stakeholders.
Adjusted to the rapid development, Muhammadiyah University of Riau also has an integrated information system to support the fast and real-time information management process.
To support the teaching and learning process, Muhammadiyah University of Riau also builds academic and nonacademic facilities that are complete and qualified. Call it a laboratory for various study programs, mosque facilities that can accommodate many students, and a place of religious activities, WiFi, Cooperatives, Canteen, and other facilities.
Muhammadiyah, as a pillar of the nation that has a commitment to realize a just and prosperous society based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution which Allah blessed Almighty, from the beginning has made education as the spearhead of nation-building. Muhammadiyah's work in education nationwide has been proven by establishing educational institutions ranging from pre-school education to universities. With this deep commitment and awareness, on 23 July 1993, the Persatarikatan Muhammadiyah Riau Region established the Academy of Automotive Technology (ATOM), which was established on 17 July 1994 also the Academy of Care (AKPER) Muhammadiyah and on 5 November 1998 stands the Financial Academy and banking Muhammadiyah (AKPM) based on KH road.
