The degree obtained at our University is an acknowledged, valuable certificate providing a factual basis for successful career perspectives. To improve cultural experiences, our campuses maintain decades and century-long traditions of student life. We encourage every visitor to browse our website and collect information about the University of Pannonia's possibilities.
The University of Pannonia performs research and R&D activities and offers engineering, economics, information technology, humanities, and agricultural sciences programs. Prestigious international projects provide researchers' and students' mobility and contribute to the programs' quality in these areas. In all activities, including international projects, the University seriously takes into account sustainability.
The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme was launched in 2013 by the Hungarian Government. The program's core mission is to increase the number of international students in Hungary and encourage Hungarian higher education institutes to attract top international students currently. More than 50 sending partners are engaged in the program. The program is based on bilateral educational cooperation agreements between the Hungarian Government and the partner countries. Applications will be considered eligible if the applicant is nominated by the responsible authorities of the sending partner.
Stipendium Hungaricum scholarships are available for bachelor, master, one-tier master, doctoral and non-degree programs (preparatory and specialization courses). Both full-time and part-time study plans are available in Bachelor, Master, one-tier Master, and doctoral studies.
In Hungary, the history of Ph.D. programs began in 1993. Our University started its doctoral education with programs in Chemical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, and Chemical Engineering. Over the years, our accredited programs' range was expanded first with Technical IT and then with Educational Sciences. After the integration with the Georgikon Faculty of Agriculture (the present Georgikon Faculty), the number of doctoral programs increased as the University has gained the right to establish a doctoral school in Agricultural and Economic Sciences in Keszthely.
Our institution can offer Ph.D. programs in four of the Government's accredited science fields (natural sciences, technical sciences, agricultural sciences, social sciences). Doctoral Schools are essential to a university and support our Faculties and the research.
Students can gain a Ph.D. degree by studying full time, supported with scholarships, or directly paying the tuition fee. However, it is also possible to fulfill the requirements through independent work in the Doctoral Schools.
The Erasmus mobility program is one of the most successful programs of the European Commission, which promotes the lifelong learning program. For the first time, the University of Pannonia participated in the program in 1998. The program allows students to get experience and study abroad. They get to know foreign countries, educational systems, and also improve their language knowledge.
The University of Pannonia offers seven Bachelor's programs and fourteen Master's programs in foreign languages.
Each academic year consists of two semesters; each one is followed by an examination period. Every semester contains 14 weeks of lecture period and after the six weeks of the examination period.
