Founded in 1229, the University of Toulouse-Jean Jaurès has a long-standing tradition of Humanities studies. UT2J offers degrees in a wide variety of disciplines, from undergraduate to doctorate level.
The academic world is currently facing many changes, new universities are emerging, especially in Asia, and international rankings are increasingly consulted. Neglecting these processes and changes would be unwise. The University of Toulouse-Jean Jaurès has many strong points from an international perspective, which the University should better communicate with international audiences through high-quality networks on a global level.
To achieve these goals in the coming years, significant resources need to be allocated. We need to build on the synergies with the COMUE (Federal University of Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées).
The University halls of residence, run by the CROUS, are dedicated only to French government scholarship holders, foreign scholarship holders or any other authorized body, students enrolled in the framework of an international agreement approved by the Ministry of Education and the Ph.D. students (if there are any vacancies).
Most of the courses are available to exchange students. The University also offers courses in English, French Summer School, and double degree programs.
Students from universities that have an agreement with UT2J will be considered as exchange students.
Our strategy plans to intensify actions within various disciplinary and geographical frameworks to enhance our attractiveness and influence, particularly by taking advantage of our unique assets and the opportunities offered by the Federal University of Toulouse organization.
This culture is fostered by, for example, responding to international calls for projects, organizing academic conferences (or other events with international visibility such as fairs), and promoting the integration of foreign researchers. In each department, an international relations correspondent provides support for students and guidance to staff and faculty in managing international programs (validating exchange programs, disseminating information, and improving the various departments' international vision). Projects managed in cooperation with the Federal University include welcoming and lodging international students and researchers, coordinating European/regional projects, implementing a policy for the entire Federal University, supporting projects with local governments, and a coordinated dynamic in Asia.
