Right from the start, the University of La Rochelle has had an international focus. The ever-increasing number of international students coming here, either as part of an exchange program or private capacity, is a good indication that this policy is a success.
The University of La Rochelle is young and dynamic. It is an integral part of the local economic and cultural environment and contributes to this area's development.
Students adapt rapidly to their new life here because it is a welcoming and friendly place to study, and its lovely seaside location makes settling in even more comfortable.
This English language version of the website will give you a first impression of our University and information on the services we have to offer.
Since its creation, the University of La Rochelle has confirmed its international dimension by setting up and developing its curricula in the context of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and by concentrating its resources on two main priorities: Asia-Pacific and the Americas.
Today, thanks to this presentation on the international scene, 140 European and international agreements have been signed. The University participates in various European programs related to training and research. In the institutional network CREPUQ (University Presidents Conference in Quebec), it is also a member of the AUF (National Agency of Francophonie) and the Campus France agency.
The University of La Rochelle participates in a cooperation program with other Universities in France. This helps raise its profile, leads to development through shared experiences, strengthens its teaching and scientific policies, and leads to innovation, notably in information technologies.
