Dania Academy, University of Applied Sciences, is one of nine regional academies of higher education in Denmark and has campuses in seven different Danish cities. Several times each year, our international coordinators travel to many parts of the world to meet potential students and partners. We are continually updating the list of international fairs, events, and conferences we attend. For detailed information, please see the list below.
We are a University of Applied Sciences, and the programs we offer focus on applied degrees within technology, IT, business, and health. Five of our 21 programs are taught in English.
With nearly 2500 full-time students, of whom 300 are international, and a high number of part-time students, we play an essential role in Denmark's education.
Dania Academy, University of Applied Sciences officially opened on 1 January 2009 and has around 175 full-time employees.
Dania Academy, University of Applied Sciences, is characterized by committed teachers that you can always get in touch with if you need a chat, whether it is of professional or personal nature.
The first period at your new place of study things can be overwhelming and surprising because many things you have been accustomed to in your home country or from your high school will be different.
There will be many things to consider both new people and a lot of practical issues. You must learn how to structure your time and prioritize. There will be a requirement that you study full time and work commitments with your field of study, and this means that you must prepare yourself on your own. You will find several exams during your first year in several different subjects.
Athletic activities are an essential part of Danish culture. There is plenty of handball, football, and volleyball matches happening throughout the year. As a student, you can try-out to be on the team or show your support as a spectator at the games.
Besides, Campus Viborg students have access to the building's gym, where students often organize sports competitions, Zumba and dancing classes, and many more.
We have politics, strategies, procedures, and processes that include all educational programs, including the knowledge, academic standard, content, and relevance of the educational programs. Our quality work is closely linked to the management. We have an apparent organization and responsibility distribution of the quality work. We have a quality system based on a continuous collection of data, analysis, and use of relevant information concerning, for instance, employment. We have the well-functioning information management and quality culture.
We make sure our educational programs and lectures regularly reflect relevant knowledge, with matching standards of the specific educational programs, giving them a solid foundation for achieving the educational goals. Using our practice, we make sure the educational programs have the correct academic standards and pedagogical qualities, supporting the students' education and achievements.
By using our practice, we ensure that the educational programs, both new and old, reflect society's needs and are continuously adapted to the societal development and the changing needs of the Danish job market.
