The School of Rural Health is a rural clinical school of the University of Sydney with campuses in Dubbo and Orange. The School of Rural Health has campuses in Dubbo and Orange, and if you are an eligible University of Sydney medical student, you could spend a year of your degree studying with us. If you are interested in rural medicine, or perhaps you'd like a tree-change and a fresh new learning environment, the SRH offers excellent opportunities in a fantastic regional setting.

You can come to the School of Rural Health for the third or fourth year of your degree. As an SRH student, you will continue the University of Sydney medical program. However, being in a regional center, you will get a broad range of clinical exposure and a more incredible opportunity to be involved in patient care. You have more access to tutors and supervisors, mentoring with academic and professional staff, and more significant opportunities to network with the local medical fraternity.

The School of Rural Health campuses are spacious and modern, with excellent facilities catered to students' needs. Check out our Live pages for more about the campuses and the Dubbo and Orange communities. We aim to make your time at the SRH one where you achieve your best academically and enjoy the social and lifestyle benefits of living in a beautiful regional community.

The School of Rural Health Strategic Plan has been developed to set the School's direction, responding to our core business of providing medical education in a rural setting and addressing rural medical workforce shortages. The plan is intended to focus the School's work in the local community while operating within the University of Sydney Strategic Plan's broader principles.

The SRH Strategic Plan encompasses the new Regional Training Hubs. It includes six core goals that will drive the School in medical education, rural research, and engaging with our local communities. The School of Rural Health is proud of its achievements, and this Strategic Plan will see us continuing to strive for excellence now and into the future.

The University of Sydney School of Rural Health has campuses in Dubbo and Orange and delivers the medical program to students completing year 3 or 4. The School of Rural Health engages several local clinicians, specialists, and medical professionals to teach our students in various areas. The teaching of medical history taking, clinical reasoning, and physical examination skills are some examples of the topics delivered by our tutors.
